YAVNET is a special project spearheaded by The Jewish Publication Society. As the interactive branch of a 120 year-old publisher, YAVNET is both groundbreaking and steeped in tradition. We’re gathering together a unique group of innovators in education, technology and design to create something fresh for a new generation of Judaism.
What
We intend to use the power of technology and social interaction to make Jewish wisdom more accessible, relevant and dynamic. We’re working behind the scenes to create a robust infrastructure to support and stimulate community around content.
Where
YAVNET is an online Jewish resource that is optimized by using Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 7.
Our management team is based in Philadelphia and our colleagues are located in great places like: Los Angeles, Boston, Netanya and New York City.
When
In 2009 we plan on unveiling to the public our showcase project, the Tagged Tanakh. Until then you can keep abreast of our activities through the YAVNET blog or by signing up to our mailing list to receive more news.
